Dear colleagues, The ENOG Programme Committee (PC) is getting ready to start working on the programme for the ENOG7 meeting, which will take place in Moscow, Russia, 26-27 May 2014. The PC has already attracted a strong team of industry experts with diverse regional and international experience, and we are looking for new members to join us. What is expected from a PC member? ------------------------------- - To actively participate in forming the programme of the ENOG meeting. This implies active participation in the PC activities (teleconferences, on-site meetings, reviews, etc.) and working towards reaching consensus on decision points. - To actively seek content that is relevant and interesting to the ENOG community. This includes reaching out to presenters of interesting talks, people involved in projects, research or other activities that may be of interest to the community. - To stay aware of the topics that address the needs and interests of the ENOG community. This requires good knowledge of relevant regional and/or international issues and usually assumes attendance of ENOG meetings. - To actively publicize the meeting and its agenda to potential attendees, using both personal contacts and social networking. If you meet the above requirements and are willing to commit your expertise and energy to the work of the ENOG 7 PC, please send an email and tell us about yourself and your motivation to: <pc(a)enog.org>. <Русская версия ниже> Dear colleagues, This is a call for presentation proposals for the ENOG 8/RIPE NCC Regional Meeting, that will take place in Baku, Azerbaijan on 9 September 2014. *Submit a Topic* Traditionally, key themes for ENOG are peering, operational practices and collaboration between Internet service providers (ISPs). We welcome presentations sharing operational experience in these areas and focusing on technical, architectural and coordination aspects of the deployment, maintenance and operations of Internet technologies in networks and systems. This time we selected two major themes for the meeting: - *The Internet Silk Route* Here we welcome presentations on trans-Eurasian communication infrastructure, major players, connectivity and interconnection challenges. - *New Intranets: Datacenters, CDNs, Clouds* With this theme we will open discussion on how different components of the Internet are evolving from architectural and business perspective to meet the requirements for QoS, service and content delivery. Конференция "IPv6 day and more"

Уважаемые коллеги! Приглашаем вас принять участие в конференции "IPv6 day and more", посвященной проблемам реализации IPv6 и межсетевого взаимодействия. Конференция состоится 6 июня 2014 года в Санкт-Петербурге в Центральном музее связи им. А. Попова. Мероприятие проводят МSК-IX и RIPE NCC при поддержке Технического центра Интернет. Участие в конференции бесплатное, зарегистрироваться и познакомиться с программой мероприятия можно на сайте MSK-IX по адресу: http://www.msk-ix.ru/events/forumspbix2014/ Мероприятие проводится уже в третий раз, с каждым годом собирая все больше участников и постепенно расширяя свою тематику от специфики IPv6 до всего спектра проблем реализации новых технологий. На этот раз мы постарались уделить отдельное внимание теме взаимодействия удаленных систем, при это не забывая и о традиционной проблематики IPv6. Тема IPv6 будет представлена докладом RIPE NCC о статусе IPv6 в России и регионе, а затем тему разовьет Сильвиа Хаген с презентацией на тему "Почему интернету нужен IPv6?». Сильвия Хаген - пионер и ведущий специалист Швейцарии по IPv6, лауреат премии международного форума IPv6 за мировое лидерство Швейцарии по уровню интеграции протокола и президент Совета Швейцарии по IPv6. Компанию MSK-IX представит Сергей Киселев с описанием нового решения по взаимодействию наших точек IX в Москве и Санкт-Петербурге. С докладом "Пиринг в облаке как инструмент управления связностью и стимул развития IPv6" выступит Дмитрий Агафонов, Руководитель направления Аутсорсинг облачной Инфраструктуры ЗАО "КДИ". О проблемах организации кэширования расскажет специалист компании MAIL.RU Данил Галиулин с темой "CDN или кэш-сервер: проблемы выбора и реализации".
