Dear colleagues, The ENOG Programme Committee (PC) is getting ready to start working on the programme for the ENOG7 meeting, which will take place in Moscow, Russia, 26-27 May 2014. The PC has already attracted a strong team of industry experts with diverse regional and international experience, and we are looking for new members to join us. What is expected from a PC member? ------------------------------- - To actively participate in forming the programme of the ENOG meeting. This implies active participation in the PC activities (teleconferences, on-site meetings, reviews, etc.) and working towards reaching consensus on decision points. - To actively seek content that is relevant and interesting to the ENOG community. This includes reaching out to presenters of interesting talks, people involved in projects, research or other activities that may be of interest to the community. - To stay aware of the topics that address the needs and interests of the ENOG community. This requires good knowledge of relevant regional and/or international issues and usually assumes attendance of ENOG meetings. - To actively publicize the meeting and its agenda to potential attendees, using both personal contacts and social networking. If you meet the above requirements and are willing to commit your expertise and energy to the work of the ENOG 7 PC, please send an email and tell us about yourself and your motivation to: <pc(a)enog.org>. Although the meeting is mostly technical, it is also a chance for people to meet and network with others in their field. RIPE 68 will take place from 12 – 16 May 2014 in Warsaw, Poland. The RIPE Programme Committee (PC) is now seeking content proposals from the RIPE community for the plenary session presentations, BoFs (Birds of a Feather sessions), panels, workshops, tutorials and lightning talks at RIPE 68. The PC is looking for presentations covering topics of network engineering and operations, including but not limited to: • IPv6 deployment • Managing IPv4 scarcity in operations • Commercial transactions of IPv4 addresses • Data centre technologies • Network and DNS operations • Internet governance and regulatory practices • Network and routing security • Content delivery • Internet peering and mobile data exchange Submissions RIPE Meeting attendees are quite sensitive to keeping presentations non-commercial, and product marketing talks are strongly discouraged. Repeated audience feedback shows that the most successful talks focus on operational experience, research results, or case studies. For example, presenters wishing to describe a commercial solution should focus on the underlying technology and not attempt a product demonstration. The RIPE PC accepts proposals for different presentation formats, including plenary session presentations, tutorials, workshops, BoFs (Birds of a Feather sessions) and lightning talks. In addition to presentations selected in advance for the plenary, the RIPE PC also offers several time slots for “lightning talks”, which are selected immediately before or during the conference. The following general requirements apply: - Proposals for plenary session presentations, BoFs, panels, workshops and tutorials must be submitted for full consideration no later than 2 March 2014, using the meeting submission system at https://ripe68.ripe.net/submit-topic/guidelines/. Proposals submitted after this date will be considered on a space-available basis. - Lightning talks should also be submitted using the meeting submission system (https://ripe68.ripe.net/submit-topic/submission-form/) and can be submitted just days before the RIPE Meeting starts or even during the meeting week. The allocation of lightning talk slots will be announced in short notice – in some cases on the same day but often one day prior to the relevant session. - Presenters should indicate how much time they will require. Безопасность глобальной системы маршрутизации - Routing Resilience Survey

Коллеги, добрый день! Хотел бы привлечь ваше внимание к проекту, организованному Internet Society, по сбору информации о рисках, связанных с глобальной системой маршрутизации. Информацию о данном проекте вы можете найти на сайте: https://www.internetsociety.org/rrs/ Для сетевых операторов участие в проекте поможет лучше понять степень собственной уязвимости и последствия различных инцидентов в глобальной системе. Например: - Что происходит с моими префиксами в глобальной системе? - Каковы последствия ошибок конфигурации других операторов для моей сети? - Насколько безопасна глобальная система маршрутизации? Участники проекта получают еженедельную сводку подозрительных изменений в глобальной системе, имеющих отношение к сетям оператора. Мы просим провести классификацию этих событий на предмет их значительности/ущерба. Это также поможет отсеять события, не являющиеся инцидентами. Продолжительность проекта 6 месяцев. По его завершению мы проведем анализ и опубликуем отчет. Для участия напишите, пожалуйста, в rrs-admin(a)isoc.org, указав номер своей автономной системы, а также автономных систем ваших клиентов, которых вы также готовы включить в обзор. {ENOG discuss] Мой отчет с ENOG 6

Коллеги, на самом деле, это у нас местный борец якобы с какой-то несправедливостью в домене .UA. Аля местный украинский блоггер-посмешище. Личных обид, амбиций и неприязни - море. В свое время пытался устроиться на работу к администратору домена .UA - компании "Хостмастер" - но его не взяли:). После этого стал "борцом за справедливость" - на самом деле обычный киберсквоттер с большим ЭГО и отсутствием элементарных правил приличия. Хотя, по возрасту - уже не школота, но выйти из этого образа уже не может:) Мы уже в Украине привыкли - так что не обращайте, плз, внимания. Сорри за таких "уникумов". Только непонятно, как он на ENOG просочился? Явно кто-то из украинских регистраторов привел. Надо на будущее, наверное, ввести хоть какую-то модерацию по персонам ввести. Здравствуйте! Как говорится - "ниасилил". По другому говоря - "до первого мата". Зачем приходить на конференцию, которая тебе неинтересна, охаивать всё и всех, козырять высосанными из пальца "проблемами" и личной неприязнью? Назовём это - упоение блоггерством. Кстати, здесь это совсем не в тему, а точнее - off-topic. Рекламируйте свой матерный блог где-нибудь ещё.
